Surfout.com offers a choice of professional names such as 123banker.com, entrepreneur.to and 123surgeon.com. US geography names include Manhattan.to, LiveAmerica.net and Aspen.to. A separate section for international regions and cities offers choices such as 123denmark.com, milan.to and copenhagen.to. Non-business users may prefer creative names like 75k.net, cptp.com, ace4ever.com, toast.cc and cheesecube.com, which are easy to remember and convey. "The names are the result of a very clearly thought-out strategy," explains Wadhwa. "All the names bring a sense of passion to individual identity whether it's a profession, hobby or sense of belonging to a country or region." The sign-up process is simple. Visitors to www.surfout.com peruse the available email addresses, which are displayed in topical categories on the site's home page. After choosing one they like, new users click the "Sign Up Now" link on the following page. Then, they fill out a form that allows them to choose a user name and password and complete their profile. They can choose to receive free offers from partners about subjects that interest them. If the form is completed correctly and the user name is available, subscribers can begin using their new, free email addresses immediately. To check email, users simply log on you can Click here to see for yourself! and they click the same email address they chose initially. Then, they type in their user name and password and click the "Login" button. The web-based email interface allows users to check and compose email, store email addresses, and organize their email into folders. Options also allow users to get their POP based external emails into mobile, web-based surfout.com accounts and receive email notification of new messages at another email address. Users can even block email from unwanted addresses and send bulk mail elsewhere to keep their inboxes clean. Users can have as many email addresses as they like.
